Von Miller injured

Von Miller injured a tendon in his ankle on the last play of practice today. He is expected to have season ending surgery. Miller tested positive for Covid in the off season and considered opting out of the 2020 season. Now he could see his season finish before it even gets started.

Two teams vote to strike the rest of NBA season

Of all the teams in the bubble, only 2 voted to strike the rest of the season. The Lakers and the Clippers are the only two teams that voted not to play.

Notre Dame players test positive for Covid

College football in 2020 takes another big blow. Five Notre Dame players have tested positive for Covid, with six more in quarantine through contact tracing protocols. Football practice was cancelled on Thursday with another round of tests scheduled for Friday.

Morikawa joins Tiger, Jack and Rory

Collin Morikawa has won the PGA Championship. He joins Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus and Rory McIlroy as the fourth player to win a PGA Championship at the age of 23. Collin has won as many majors as he has missed cuts to start his career. He certainly has a bright future in golf.

Big Ten prepared to cancel season

The Big Ten is ready to “pull the plug” on the 2020 football season. The conference has gauged interest of power 5 conferences about cancelling the season. Several sources have said that a postponement or cancellation of the football season is inevitable. Football in 2020 seems unlikely.

First FBS conference cancels fall football season

The Mid-American Conference is the first FBS school to cancel it’s 2020 football season. The 12 team conference intends to try and play a football schedule in the spring of 2021. Not a good sign that we will have football in 2020.
