XFL finds a surprising buyer

The XFL has been sold just hours before it was set to be auctioned off.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and private equity investment firm Redbird Capital have teamed up to purchase the XFL for $15 million. Johnson and Redbird Capital split the $15 million evenly.

It will be interesting to see what they do with it after getting shutdown due to Covid-19 after having some success with an average viewership of 1.9 million per game.
